The pictures on the net must have been taken 20 years ago. The best looking part about the hotel is the lobby,bar and resturant. Everything else about this hotel looks run down. It looks like this used to be a very nice hotel. But it is in need of a magor overhall. There where no parking lot lights on the side we stayed. The indoor pool looked nasty. The only reason we stayed is because it was pet friendly. If this is what we have to stay in to take our dog on vacation i'd rather stay home.

I thought it was a very nice hotel considering the price. The indoor pool was especially nice because it did rain one day and the kids had fun at the pool. The rooms were clean. I really enjoyed the bar. The staff was most helpful. We even purchased our tickets for busch gardens directly at the hotel which was nice. The hotel was also in a great location to busch gardens, water country and other places. I was not impressed with the arcade, I believe they were renovating it. I was also not impressed with the morning breakfast. If we did not have to pay for it, it would have been ok but I don't feel the price justified the quality (or lack therof) of the meal.

We stayed for 4 nights and have no complaints. I know its hard to believe as much as people complain about everything they can poossibly find. We being myself,spouse and 2 children found this hotel to be an excellent value, the location put us only 5 minutes away from both Watercountry & Busch Gardens. The staff did everything they could to make our stay comfortable, including finding someone to help us jump start our car. Rooms clean and comfortable, pool was clean and warm. Would I recommend, YES. I must add, If I let the reviews I've read on several website help me pick a hotel in Williamsburg, or anywhere else for that matter, I would never travel. LIGHTEN UP PEOPLE

The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. The hotel is undergoing some renovations, but the area we were in was still worth probably $$ a night. The one sore spot was the indoor pool, which was not very clean at all. To top it off the outside entrances were open and it was obvious that people that were not staying in the hotel would invite themselves in whenever they wanted; whether they were invited by the staff or not is a toss up.
